This modern backyard redesign in a West Los Angeles neighborhood is complete, and we’re so excited to share it with you! Despite the yard’s narrow, elongated proportions, the finished design flows seamlessly from space to space, creating a sense of openness, balance and colorful elegance throughout the property. We are so happy with the final result—and so are our wonderful clients, which is always what matters most!

What was once a large lawn with a modest sitting patio has been transformed into a series of inviting, functional outdoor spaces. A lounge and dining area now features a built-in BBQ and pizza oven. The cozy custom built-in sand finish concrete firepit area is perfect for entertaining family and friends, day or night. Our favorite addition —a raised TimberTech composite deck surrounding a prefabricated spa (drop in spa has never looked so good!!!) creates a striking focal point and adds dimension to the yard.  A clean metal and cable railing around the perimeter of the space provides safety for small children without compromising the open aesthetic. Just beyond the firepit area – across from the spa is an outdoor shower made from the same TimberTech material that is seen throughout the design. Toward the rear, a lawn area offers an area for the kids to play on while they are young, with a long-term plan for it to eventually evolve into an ADU. 

Drought tolerant, colorful plantings are visible from every angle, adding warmth and vibrancy to the environment that are also seen in the interiors bring joy inside and out.
